Engine – Foreground/Background

For all intents and purposes, the backgrounds and foregrounds are separate planes in Disney Rumble – with the exception that characters are not allowed to directly enter it – except when they are rolling from the “get up” pose. Some characters can lay traps and minions in different planes, however, with other characters having hitboxes that enter the different planes – able to hit whatever may be there. In addition, some “helper” characters such as Basil’s assistant, Dr. Dawson, will always be present in the background.
